A Shabbat morning service is held regularly on the first Saturday of each month, starting at 10.30am. After the service the Community holds a “bring and share” Kiddush, which provides us all with the opportunity to catch up with members as well as welcoming new friends in a relaxed atmosphere. As we are a small Community we do not have our own Rabbi. Services are generally led by volunteers from the Community. PLJC is fortunate to have quarterly visits from an LJ Rabbi and help is available to help our members with enquiries and questions on a range of religious and life cycle issues.
The Community also strives to hold services to commemorate the main Festivals culminating with our “bring and share” break-the-fast supper at the end of Yom Kippur. We also hold regular Pesach Seders which are open to all members, friends, children and non-faith partners and spouses.
